How lovely, right?!?! So I couldn't find a color picture to scrap, so I did the next best thing...changed the color to monotone, in this case I made it as close to gray as I could. I used a picture of my in-laws with the seven grandchildren taken this April. The page came together quite quickly as I had a layout in mind. I saw this image on Pinterest and knew I wanted to incorporate it on a page someday...
Here's my page:
I'm a clean and simple girl, and it doesn't get more simple than this! The background DSP is from the Neutral Paper Pack. I think it is supposed to be the white, with gray lettering. I have to say that when this pattern came out, I disliked it big time....now it's my first pattern gone in the packs. (This is what gets me through Stampin' Up's retirement--they have to give me new, great things right?, plus things start to grow on you as you see products being used.) Speaking of retirement, the letters used on the page are from the Timeless Type dies...which will soon be gone. (Must remember, new things-smile!) I highlighted the I Heart U also by popping them up with dimensionals.
The bottom detail is a strip of (textured--soon gone) Pool Party. I layered on a piece of retired Pink Pirouette ribbon, next a layer of (delish) ruffled Pool Party ribbon, and a small bow of Pool Party baker's twine. I also added a small pearl to the center of the bow. Underneath this layer is a strip of Regal Rose card stock that has been punched with the Eyelet Border punch...also retiring. (new things, new things.)
So now to my involved stamping on this page....sorry this page lacked that area. This stamp is from the P.S. I Love You set. Stampin' Up always has great Valentine sets...I think this set will make my retired keeper pile. I love how the sentiment went with the letter theme...and bonus it has a coordinating punch.
There you have it! Now jump over and see what the rest of the team has designed....and we'd love for you to play along. Remember, color challenges are the easiest in my opinion!
Oh wowwwww!!! How in the world did you find the patience to align every letter perfectly? I am so in love with this layout that I'll have to CASE sometime :) It's 100% fabulous and should be in a magazine. Super!
