I'm Back...and a Colour Q Card

My last posting was in November.  I can say I've been busy, haven't had the time to blog my work. The truth is I read MANY blogs and I found myself questioning whether or not my creations were worth sharing.  I'm a simple type of person.  I love jeans and a t-shirt, I eat my hamburger plain, and my cards and scrapbook layouts are "clean and simple" in style.  I've decided I am who I am, and that's not going to stop me in sharing anymore.  So I HOPE to post more often, and I'd love to hear your feedback!

Now if you are hear to see my Colour Q challenge card, here's my entry:

Here is their color challenge, and I have to say this one I will be playing with again.  LOVE IT!

I love banners...pennant, rectangle, even half circle banners!, so it just seemed natural to go this route.  My card is a Baja Breeze base layered with Whisper White, and Very Vanilla.  I know some people don't like white and cream next to each other, but I really love it on this card.  For the banner I took out some scraps that included: Pretty in Pink DSP, Baja Breeze DSP, and some retired Real Red DSP, and a scrap from last years Candy Cane Christmas DSP.  I have this fabric, but I loved the glitter of the paper, so it won!  On one banner I added a small heart from the set Itty Bitty Bits set.  I tied the banners on a piece of white twine and popped them up with dimensionals.  I then took some red fibers from the 1 1/4" Real Red ribbon and tied a bow and added a pearl.  The saying comes from the stamp set Friendly Phrases.

Thanks for taking a look, and I promise....I'M BACK!
