This week it is ABAC over at Hand Stamped Sentiments...Anything But A Card. Now, since I'm not much of a card designer I was okay with this until I looked closer...
...I'm not much of a jewelry person either. So I opted for the wearable art--and that's even a stretch. My girls have a ton of headbands. (If that basket wasn't such a heap of a mess, I would have taken a picture.) I decided to take out a cheap white headband and jazz it up Stampin' Up style. Take a look--
This was so super easy to do I'm almost embarrassed after seeing a few of the other designer's projects when uploading mine :/ I took out my new favorite print of Stampin' Up fabric--and just wait to June 1st-more fun patterns coming--and my 3" circle die. Using the Big Shot I cut 8 circles out, 4 at a time, and then folded each circle into fourths. (Maybe I should have more photos, if you have questions send me and e-mail and I'd be happy to help!) I took out my trusty glue gun and added them to a piece of felt cut into a smaller circle. From there I just layered them on and finished with a Real Red button...which I also hot glued on :) Easy Peasy and so much cuter than that plain headband. Here's my (reluctant) model...I dragged her away from friends and a pool...
Be sure to go see what the other designers have come up with! I can't wait to read the details of their projects after seeing some peeks.
Oh Mom you are going to need to make up for that. How about a batch of cookies. :) Love the headband!
ReplyDeleteVery Cute!!! Love the color combo so bright and cheerful!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Your models expression is priceless! I love it AND I LOVE the headband! It is JUST as fabulous as all the other projects! I have wanted to make some flowers like this but just never had. This is sooo cute!
