Out on a Limb...BOO!

I'm back with another challenge entry.  This one comes from Paper Players and it's a layout challenge.  Take a look:

I liked the clean and simple feel for it, so off to the craft room I went.  Here's what I came up with:

Instead of using three images for the main section, I spelled out "boo" using the Simple Letter dies.  It still has three (wink, wink)!  I cut the letters from both Olive Olive textured card stock and a piece of cardboard that comes with the Decor Elements.  This way the letters stand out a bit more.  On top of that I stamped and (patiently) cut out two images from the Out on a Limb set that will be available on September 1.  The polka dot paper is from the Frightful Sight DSP.  The layer behind that is Basic Black satin ribbon, layered with Old Olive 1/8" taffeta ribbon.  The gray piece of card stock is stamped with the cloud image from the set but then I sanded the edges and paper to give it a more worn look.

Thanks for looking!

Cute Witch

I headed over to Create with Connie and Mary and found a sketch challenge that was my Clean and Simple style.  Take a peek

I'm trying to add to my samples of cards and with Halloween "right around the corner"-that's what other's are saying, I'm still getting ready to get the kids back to school, I decided to make a Halloween card.  I love the set Greeting Card Kids, maybe because my girls love it so I tend to make cards for them using this set.  Here's the card I came up with-

I started with a Lucky Limeade base, but covered that with Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black pieces that had been run through the Big Shot with the Spider Web embossing folder and then sprayed with a Frost White/alcohol mixture to give it some sparkle.  I tied a Lucky Limeade bow around the card--this ribbon is so fun!  For the center piece I used a 3" Lucky Limeade circle underneath the stamped image which is punched out using the 2.5" circle punch.  I used my ink pads and blender pen to color.  For the pieces next to the circle, I stamped and cut images from the Spooky Bingo Bits set that I though coordinated with the card.  Super fun little card that my girlies are already fighting over who it is for....guess I better go make another!

Thanks for stopping by!
