Wedding Planning

It's a wedding theme this week over at Hand Stamped Sentiments, and thankfully my wedding went far better in the planning stages than this page.

Take a look at the mess on my desk.  Serious struggle this page was.  Good news is I have cut pieces for future projects.

Here's my page:

I had these pictures of my oldest daughter playing dress up (and she posed herself!) from 2009...I'm that far behind...and everything I did to the page took away from the photos in my opinion so I went for a very simple layout.  The pictures are 4" X 4" that I printed with a soft white border.  I then went and made another square by using an embossing folder (sorry the name evades me), carefully sponging Pretty in Pink ink, and added some So Saffron bitty flowers using the Bitty Punch Pack.  Here's a closer look:

I tied on a Cherry Cobbler seam binding bow and then used Letter It and Fabulous Phrases to make an embellishment for the bow.  "beautiful" is stamped on the B-sorry hard to see.  I added "playing dress up 7.29.09" with my Cherry Cobbler marker.  To add a bit more to the page I took out my sewing machine and stitched horizontally and vertically between the pictures.
Hopefully this is no sign to what wedding planning with her will be....though at age 8 she loves the show "Say Yes to the Dress"---I may be doomed!

Now head over to see what the rest of the Design Team have come up with--there is a wedding cake that is A.MAZ.ING!--and play with us.  Link up your project, I'd love to check it out!

  1. Wow - so pretty! This is just fabulous! Really great pictures that capture the page. The little square element you added is very nice, but doesn't take away from the pictures.

You turned a simple moment into a wonderful memory. Fabulous job on the layout. I love how you colored the embossed square to coordinate with the flowers in you daughter's photos. Beautifully executed. Simple but stunning!

  9. The theme design for the wedding is simply super. Choosing the theme for your wedding is also important. My close friend has chosen the wedding theme using the wedding planner iPhone app and it was very nice.
