Ity bity bikini

No worries...not mine!  I had so many post titles running through my head : black and yellow, black and yellow (a song my oldest sings), still stuck in the old (lots of retired product), or how many letters on this page?!?!

Here's this weeks challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments:

Super trendy colors right.  I'm a big fan...minus the gray, but here's what I came up with:

See, I told you lots of letters!  This is my Kendall in my all time favorite swim suit.  She put it on a couple weeks ago and I started singing this, granted I don't have a nice singing voice, but my girls were puzzled.  If it's not playing on the pop radio station, they don't know it.  :(

I took out a sheet of textured Sahara Sand (trust me I stocked up), and used my music note wheel to jazz up the card stock.  I was naughty long ago and took my rubber off the wheel, it just is easier for me when scrapbooking.  It's never perfect, but I kind of like it that way!

From there, I went letter and embossing powder happy.  I need a new Whisper White craft pad, so I wasn't getting the best coverage.  I took out the white embossing powder to make my dots (though I filled in with my gel pen on some) and also on the Letter It letters.  It was a lot of work...and I realize why I'm so behind on the girls' pages.

To break up the (hundreds) of letters, I made a little clothes line.  I punched out a full heart and then cut it for the top of a bikini and bottoms.  I have lots of these clothes pins left :(

Because there was so much lettering, I decided to do a little "hidden" journaling.  I made a little pocket on the back of the photo mat and decorated my journal card with a small loop of black scallop ribbon and a Daffodil brad.

So there is my project!  Be sure to hop over to see the other designers.  I loved playing with these colors...even the gray, and would love to see what you can come up with!

  1. Are you kidding? This is adorable! Love the clothesline. I can't believe how long this must have taken, but it is so worth it. She is going to cherish this for years to come.
