I'm back with another Create with Connie and Mary challenge. This week is a layout challenge. I really like this one, it allows your paper to shine more with a smaller stamped space.
Here is the layout:
Here is what I did with the layout:
Before having our girls, I was a teacher and my husband also is one. I don't think a teacher can hear thank you enough. Our first grader has a great one!-so I made this card in advance for her.
I started with a Very Vanilla base, layered it with Sahara Sand, and then a layer of DSP from the Sale a Bration pack (if you missed getting your own, shame on you ;)!). I love this sheet; such a fun, colorful pattern. From there I stamped only the girl from Greeting Card Kids with Staz On and "thank you" from Bold Blossom on Very Vanilla, and layered it with Night of Navy. I used my scallop border punch and a scrap of Marina Mist to make the border. I colored in the girl using Melon Mambo and Blush Blossom markers and then used my Blender Pen and Old Olive and Daffodil Delight inks. The ribbon is 5/8" Marina Mist satin ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by and now go thank a teacher!
ps. sorry for the grainy picture, it only appears this way on the blog not in my photobook :(
Great card! I totally agree with you about teachers! I was one, too, and I loved the 'thank you' cards that I would get! This one is so cute! Any teacher would love it! Thanks for playing the challenge at Create with Connie and Mary!
