Pals Paper Arts: Hello

I'm so giddy!  I love buttons.  Okay, I really love everything about paper crafting, but I really love buttons.  This is one thing that I enjoy about Stampin' Up-everything coordinates.  I don't have to stress that my ink doesn't match my accessories.  For us Type A people, that's big!

This weeks challenge over at Pals Paper Arts is to use buttons on a Clean and Simple Card.  See why I'm giddy?  So here is my creation...

I adore it!  If you don't know this, Crumb Cake is my favorite neutral color, so I used it as my card base, but also added another layer.  To give this layer some dimension, I sponged some Soft Suede ink on the edges and used dimensionals.  For the image, I used the set Trendy Trees and stamped the trunk part with Early Espresso.  I then stamped the tree part in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, and Rich Razzleberry. On top of each one I added a coordinating button from the Brights Collection.  In the center, I tied on our new White Twine which will be available in the Summer Mini starting May 1.  I added a Hello saying in the center of the card because I didn't want it to distract the front of the card.

This stamp is from Happy Greetings which will also be available May 1.  It is a great "saying" set you'll for sure want to add to your collection.

Again, thanks for looking!
