summer wheels

I found some photos I thought would work with The Paper Players color challenge this week and thought I'd create a layout to play along.  Take a look at the colors:

I'm a sucker for Crumb Cake and the remaining colors are our "In Colors."  Pear Pizzazz will be disappearing at the end of May.  It's sad to see colors go but fun to see the new ones.  Anyways, my page...

Again I went over to Jana Eubank's sketch blog.  I had these photos, but they need to be cropped smaller.  I generally scrap with 4 X 6 size photos, so I needed some help with what to do with the rest of the page.  I loved the circle element, but had to use my electric (Non SU) die cut machine to cut it.  I used Wisteria and Pear as my supporting colors.  The Wisteria DSP if from the paper packs, and the Pear is from the Nursery Nest DSP.  The Crumb Cake stripe paper is also from the paper packs.  I made some pinwheels just because I think they are summery...is that a word?  The Pear DSP is retired and I used a Wisteria brad.  The Wisteria pinwheel uses the In Color DSP and a Pear glimmer brad.  I colored some sucker sticks with my Crumb Cake marker and tied a Pool Party bakers twine bow on each.  The title is done using the Timeless Type and Billboard dies.

Thanks for taking a look at my page!
